The Learning Action Partnership (LAP) is a network for exchanging ideas and good practices realization, that is working for prevention of sexual exploitation of children.
The partnership unites interested people and institutions that having experience in activities preventing violence, exploitation and abuse.
LAP is an initiative in the frame of the project of BFPA “The Art to Inform. A network for reducing vulnerability of children for sexual exploitation and abusive practices” (2013–2018) and “The Ability to change: Learning Action Partnership for prevention of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse against children and young people (2019–2021)”.
It was initiated during a workshop of BFPA and OAK Foundation on topics, connected with prevention of sexual exploitation of children with main focus children in institutions, which took place in December 2013.
Mission and Vision
- Learning Action Partnership works for zero tolerance regarding sexual exploitation and sexual violence of children in Bulgarian society.
- Every child in Bulgaria should be able to count on reliable protection against sexual exploitation and sexual violence.
- Involving more stakeholders to reshape public attitudes and strengthen the focus on understanding and changing perceptions of sexual exploitation of children.
- Advocating for improving existing policies and legislative framework to better protect children and prevent them from sexual exploitation.
